Tous les privil\u00e8ges locaux sont respect\u00e9s. La France s\u2019installe vite dans ce nouveau territoire et bient\u00f4t la culture fait aussi son entr\u00e9e avec les arts, et bien s\u00fbr la musique. Cousine du roi, plus riche que lui, Marie de Guise, dite Mademoiselle de Guise, s\u2019affiche en grande m\u00e9c\u00e8ne des arts. Au service de \u201cMademoizelle\u201d d\u00e8s 1670, le musicien Marc-Antoine Charpentier, revenu d\u2019Italie, compose une multitude de petits motets. L\u2019Italie, pays o\u00f9 Marie a pass\u00e9 toute son enfance, reste sa r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en arts. Chez elle, elle invite, loge, soutient, nombre d\u2019artistes, po\u00e8tes, musiciens, peintres, journalistes\u2026 Nous avons souhait\u00e9 avec les musiciens de M\u00e9tamorphoses \u2013 ensemble professionnel de La Chapelle des Flandres \u2013 restaurer les musiques entendues en cette fin de 17e si\u00e8cle dans une Lille nouvellement fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>
